A Cup of Hot Cocoa

Yesterday was a cloudy and blustery Colorado day, so I picked up an unhappy, frozen little miss at carpool.  We promptly came home and had a nice warm cup of hot cocoa to warm up.  I was working up a Treasury for the EVETEAM and I found some most lovely vintage and handmade goodies on Etsy that would have made a quick cup of cocoa even more special.  They would also make very nice Christmas gifts and stocking stuffers.

   Enjoy.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Well - I'm here to quickly say Happy Thanksgiving to every one out there!
( I won't be posting till next week when we are back home again)

I've had a super busy weekend with the shop and a sick kiddo.  Ended up with 9 orders from over the weekend and today to ship out. So glad little miss was a trooper while we did our running around to the post office and to pick up her medicine.  Sure hope she's better soon.

I must say that is one of the things I am most thankful for is her health.  She is one healthy kiddo.  Only a little bug here and there.  I can even imagine what all those other moms out there go through when they have severely ill children.  She just has strep throat and I want to do all I can to make her better. I can't even imagine her having to be in a hospital. So I am thankful for her health.

There are so very very many things to be thankful each and every day, I don't have the room or time to list them all.  I love this special time of year that makes us stop a moment and really think about them. What are you most thankful for this year?

Happy Thanksgiving!

A Very Vintage Christmas

I love vintage Christmas goodies.  They bring along a little extra something special in the nostalgia category.  I think it is that special magic that Christmas holds for any child.

Etsy is such a great source for finding those special memories.  I don't know how many times I've seen something and thought Oh yeah! I remember so and so had that! That is one thing I love about having a shop like mine, it holds things that might not be anything more than something really snazzy to me, but something very meaningful to someone else.

So with Christmas coming oh so very soon -
here are a few of my favorite vintage goodies from the past.

A Very Dreamy Home

I love to look at houses.  Especially old houses that are wonderfully unique. They aren't just like the one next door.  This dreamy home is on Prince Edward Island.
Yes, that's the place of Ann of Green Gables!  This house is on an ocean front farm!

I love the open shelves in this kitchen.  They would be just perfect for a collection of vintage Pyrex!

Look at the view!

Sigh.

But I am not quite sure what my family would do to provide our living expenses there in PEI.  I read the job market is quite slim.  So I guess I'd better start buying some lottery tickets!
Either that or this blog will really have to take off!

Happy dreaming!

So this is me...

 Hello there!

So this is the blog for Road 10 Vintage & Supply.  What is that, you may ask?  It is my little piece of the Etsy world where I share all the vintage goodies I scrounge up here in Colorado.

And who am I?

Well, my name is Gail Winters.  I am the shop owner of Road 10.  I am a mom of a most wonderful little miss and the wife of my best friend.  I have 2 very furry companions, Conrad the old dog and Ollie the very silly spotted dog. (who can't hear.  at all.)  I am an admirer of aged things, things that have history and past, things that can trigger that feeling of "Oh yeah, I remember that!" (that's a good feeling).

I hope to share my ideas and things that inspire me here on this lovely little piece of the internet.  I love to bake, sew, crochet and make crafty things.  So it will not all be about the shop (but it will be a great place to get a sneak peek at new goodies and find out first about sales) but about all the things I want to share with you all out there.

Till then -
Gail
