Oh poor blog - I get so busy with other things it is the first to be set aside. But - FEAR NOT! I shall try to move it up the list and add super lovely posts more often.
So - what have I been so busy with? Well about 450+ pieces of vintage clothes and accessories have made their new home in my Road 10 Vintage work space! Holy Gravy that's a lot of clothes. I feel like it could be the set for the Thrift Store Song music video.
I am working away at photographing each item and getting them into the shop. I will still be adding vintage home goodies, aged papers and the like in stride with all the clothes. Here is a bit of a peek at some of the beautiful garments that are awaiting new homes....

End of the Month.... already...
My my - time flies! After I finished up the big work space redo, I got the clean and reorganize the whole house bug.... So that took up some time, and then it was my little miss's birthday yesterday, so we had company and goings on with that too. Suddenly - it was the end of February! I was able to get a few new things into the shop today. We've had a snow storm just about every other day this past week and a half and today was no good for taking photos of vintage goodies.... so we'll leave that to another day.
I wanted to share a treasury I made this week. It is some of the lovely things that remind me of my Grandma Van - a special lady! She loved to knit and crochet, made the BEST homemade bread, loved worry stones, had a beautiful vintage ceramic Christmas tree, I remember her having a cameo necklace I always loved and she always had WAY too much yarn!
I love the power of vintage goodies - they hold past memories of the sweetest kind!A collection for my Grandma Van <3

A Vintage Work Space
After a week and a half of working on getting my workspace that I use for crafting and Road 10 Vintage organized, I finally have it all spiffy and finished up!
Everything has a place - I just need to be sure I put it back in that place when I'm done with it! I thinking having a nice environment to work and be creative in is important. Our basement is less than pleasant all on it's own since it is unfinished, but when adorned in vintage fabric goodness - it's a kitschy and eclectic place. I used vintage sheets and table cloths to cover the vinyl insulation (we call it diaper walls). Since I can't paint it, the only other option is to cover it.
Well - I'd better be off to get to work! Things to photograph, list and ship!
What sort of work space do you have? Messy, clean, cluttered, kitschy, simple....
